Platinum Health Supply at the 2026 Positive Ageing Expo

There's something quietly powerful about being in a room full of people who genuinely care about older Australians. On Tuesday, 23 June 2026, the team at Platinum Health Supply had the privilege of attending the Positive Ageing Expo at Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre in South Morang, and we left feeling exactly that way.

The event ran from 10am to 3pm, and it brought together local services, community organisations, and passionate individuals to celebrate ageing well and raise awareness about elder abuse prevention in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD).

We're proud to have been part of it.

What the Positive Ageing Expo Is All About

The Positive Ageing Expo isn't a trade show or a product fair. It's a community event built around a simple but important idea: that growing older should be met with respect, dignity, and genuine support.

This year's event combined two meaningful causes under one roof. The first was a celebration of positive ageing, with local services and programs on show to help people live healthily and stay connected. The second was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which serves as a national moment to acknowledge the very real harm that elder abuse causes and to commit to doing better as a community.

Together, those two threads created an atmosphere that felt both hopeful and grounding.

Meet the Team Who Represented Platinum Health Supply on the Day

Walking the floor of the Positive Ageing Expo takes more than just showing up. It takes people who genuinely care about the work, and that's exactly who we sent.

Ledia and Mekha represented Platinum Health Supply at the expo, and if you stopped by our stand, you would have been greeted by two of the warmest, most knowledgeable people on our team. Behind them, the Platinum Health banner said it best: "Your Partner in Care." That's not a tagline for us. It's the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

The stand itself reflected what we're about: practical resources, real products, and a genuine willingness to have a conversation. Whether visitors were support coordinators looking for reliable suppliers, carers trying to navigate the NDIS, or community members curious about what aged care support actually looks like, Ledia and Mekha were there to help them find some clarity.

It's that kind of face-to-face connection that reminds us why getting out into the community matters.

One of the highlights of sharing an expo floor is the connections you make with the people around you. We had the pleasure of spending the day alongside the team from Right at Home, and it's fair to say the good energy at our corner of the room was hard to miss.

It's always encouraging to be surrounded by people who are equally committed to supporting older Australians and their families. That shared purpose makes for genuinely good conversation, and a pretty great photo too.

The Beyond Age Project: A Moment Worth Stopping For

One of the most memorable parts of the day was the Beyond Age portrait exhibition. Participants brought along a photo from their younger years, had a new portrait taken of themselves today, and wrote a message to their younger self. Those messages were displayed alongside both images.

It's a simple concept, but the effect is quietly extraordinary. You'd walk past a portrait and find yourself reading words of hard-won wisdom, tenderness, or humour from someone who has genuinely lived. The exhibition wasn't just art. It was a reminder of what's at the heart of aged care and community health work: seeing people fully, at every stage of life.

Why Events Like This Matter to Us

At Platinum Health Supply, we work alongside patients, carers, and support coordinators every day. We know that healthcare isn't just about the right products or the right funding. It's about people feeling seen, supported, and able to live their lives on their own terms.

That's why attending events like the Positive Ageing Expo means something to us beyond business. The conversations we have at events like this, with support workers, families, service providers, and older community members, remind us why the work matters.

Ageing well isn't a passive experience. It takes access to the right information, the right services, and a community that actually shows up. We want to be part of that community.

A Few Highlights From the Day

The expo floor was filled with local organisations offering everything from home care services and social support programs to health information and community connection. There was a genuine sense of collaboration in the room, the kind that happens when people share a common purpose rather than compete for attention.

The conversations were honest. The information was practical. And the energy across the day reflected what's possible when a community takes the wellbeing of its older members seriously.

A Big Thank You

To everyone who stopped by to chat with us throughout the day, thank you. It's always a pleasure to meet the people doing this work on the ground, and to connect with families and individuals who are navigating the aged care and disability support space.

If you didn't get a chance to speak with us at the expo but you're looking for support with medical supplies, NDIS funding, or aged care equipment, we'd love to hear from you. You can reach the Platinum Health Supply team directly through our website, and we're always happy to help you find what you need.
